Whether you find that you have run out of space or you want to upgrade your home, we can provide you with the quality and service you expect. With over 30 years of experience in residential construction, we understand the complexities that come with renovating your home. We strive to make the renovation process as simple and unobtrusive as possible. We take care to respect your needs as you continue to live in your home during construction. This includes minimizing issues of security, debris, noise, and disruption of your lifestyle.
The renovation process, with a few exceptions, is very similar to how we handle new home construction. The process often begins when we meet to discuss your needs and wishes. This is where we define the scope of your project. For instance, are we dealing with a complete renovation, an addition, a kitchen or bathroom remodel, or perhaps a finished basement?
Once we settle on the scope of your project, we will work with you to get the necessary drawings completed. We can offer the services of our own in-house design team or we can recommend several local architects that we have worked with on numerous projects. Either way, we are certain you will be satisfied with your design experience.
With the drawings complete, we then develop a cost estimate based on, what we call, a full “material and labor take-off.” This cost estimate is comprised of quotes received from our subcontractors and suppliers for your project. This is an important and critical step in the process, as it is performed to ensure current and firm costs that we can then use to assemble a detailed proposal.
We will then sit down with you to review our proposal. We will go through all of the contract specifications with you line by line. Thus, you don’t have to worry about those unwanted surprises! At this point, both the scope of work and materials to be used will have been fully defined.
With a satisfactory proposal in hand, you will be asked to sign a contractual agreement before construction begins. Upon your acceptance of the agreement, you will be guided in “making” final selections, such as: flooring and ceiling fixtures; cabinetry and plumbing fixtures; tile and paint; and more based on your allowances as stated in the proposal.
Our personal service doesn’t end there. Once construction begins you can expect to have continued close personal interaction with us through and beyond the completion of your project.
While we would like to be a part of every step you take in the process, sometimes you might be a few steps further along when we finally meet. If this is the case, that’s not an issue; we will dive into your project with as much excitement, vigor, and dedication as if we were there with you from the beginning.
No matter the scenario, in the end, we will strive to ensure you get exactly what you want.
